Project description

1) Integration and practice of training resources
We provide an integrative undergraduate and postgraduate training that include medical care, welfare, healthcare and nursing care, by combining educational and research resources with the existing elderly support regional network systems, such as regional care meetings, regional care support centers, various liaison groups on welfare and nursing care, medical information sharing system "Ajisai Net", and physician network for home care support "Nagasaki home Dr. Net".

2)

Coeducation of students from different specialties
In collaboration with Nagasaki Junshin Catholic University, we provide an inter-professional collaborative training for regional comprehensive care in medical care and welfare systems, including social welfare and nursing care. By learning with students from different specialties, each student develops their specialty area with mutual respect and understanding.

3)

Leading diagnostic skill training system
A strong integrative diagnosis is incorporated in first-year medical training program including performing medical consultations, physical examinations, and ultrasound diagnosis.

4)

Establishment of collaborative graduate courses
Lectures on regional comprehensive care are offered through the establishment of collaborative courses at the Regional Hospital of Nagasaki Harbor Medical Center municipal Hospital, a regional medical institution. We train research-oriented young physicians for the advancement of regional comprehensive care research. Training, research and policy recommendations that meet the needs of both state-of-the-art hospitals and the communities are provided.

5)

Enhanced training of relevant specialties
A "multidisciplinary alliance of comprehensive community care education project team" was formed and 10 articles/training manuals on a Doctor's knowledge was compiled and published. Furthermore, we aim to increase the training of relevant specialists by offering SD and FD in relevant specialties. These training contents will be shared with the communities through cloud computing.
